Write about Love is the eight studio album of one the our most loved bands of all time. It's been 14 years since Belle and Sebastian turned our world upside down with Tigermilk and made Glasgow one of our favorite music cities. Since then, they've produced amazing albums and endless songs that have marked our lives.

Their last album in 2006 The Life Pursuit was nothing special and four years later we were hoping for something better. Unfortunately, it seems we are asking for something that simply can't be done. When you've grown, fallen in love and had your heart broken with B&S songs, how can any new material compete with all the memories and emotions of the past? By all means, Write about Love is not a bad album, but it won't change much in B&S' history. There are a couple of songs that are really nice, like I Didn't See It Coming, I Want the World to Stop and my favorite Little Lou, Ugly Jack, Prophet John featuring Norah Jones (a duet bringing back memories of Tindersticks duets), but the rest are a bit on the forgettable side.

As I said, I simply can't rate a Belle and Sebastian album. The memories make me too judgmental, so I'll simply say that this isn't anything close to their golden years, but it's always nice to hear them again. Thanks for everything lads!
