The Humms started off in March of 2008 when Zeke Sayer and Tyler Glenn recorded their first songs in a 1950’s mobile home using an extension cord for power and haunted by the previous owner who died right outside the door. They soon added drummer John Bleech and by October they were playing shows at Athens, Georgia, where they soon relocated. Since then Tyler and John left the band (replaced by Jessica Miller on Bass Guitar and West Coast drummer “Ziggy Zag”) and Sayer continued to work on the Humms debut. After a limited EP titled Are You Dead (2009, Odd Box Records) the band is back with their debut LP titled Lemonland.

This Elegant Chaos wrote that The Humms 'sounds like it should be soundtracking the next Tarantino movie' and we can't agree more. Their rockabilly sound is quite refreshing, mixing garage with classic rock riffs and ultra cool melodies. It's time to get your hair up, your surfs outs and dig into the Humm sound. My only concern is how they are going to progress their groovy sound; but I guess we'll find this out in a couple of years.
