Cowlick are our newest hook here in Athens66 (and I'm including BLR on this). The 3-piece band hails from Ontario and includes ex-By Divine Right member Dylan Hudecki (other former band members are now in Broken Social Scene, Holy Fuck, Feist and other major Canadian bands). Cowlick started back in 2006 and released their first album Eternia Hernia in 2008 (free for download from their site). The guys are now back with their latest work titled Wires and we love it.

Their music is indie rock with beautiful clean riffs, dirty guitars and vocals and overwhelming power and energy. This is one of those bands that you wish you've discovered from their first album, but we're glad we're not too late. They are currently starting to get attention as one of the uprising bands in Canada.
